Cat D4-7U Hydraulic Track Adjuster Fix

Looking at a appx 1950 Cat D4-7U. Serial is 7U and 10k or less. Includes blade and supposedly runs and drives other than the right side track adjuster seals being blown.

It has hydraulic track adjusters, I believe they are aftermarket, or parts swapped from later year 7u, as I don't think they started with hydraulic track adjusters until appx 7u40k serial number.

Curious what a guy would be looking at parts cost wise, and labor wise? Can't seem to locate the parts on the Cat site.

Price is $1,500.

must have been added on hydraulic adjusters as my 1955 7U has mechanical adjusters---price sounds pretty good if every thing else works as it should
usually you can take the old seals and get them matched up to new replacements

I have a similar machine and rebuilt the track adjusters some years ago. I don't remember where I got the parts but Cat supports their old machines and may be able to get you the parts. My guess is I ordered the seals from Baum Hydrualics by size as that is where I buy most of my seals.
