Blade Drift Down

What are the options for rebuilding or replacing the valves that controll the

Need advice on rebuilding or replacing the control valve on 450 C crawler. SN 289711 T. Blade has unacceptable down drift while using. I am aware that the lift cylinders could be a factor but know how to check that. i am pretty sure the bypass is in the lever control valve and need to know the option for either a rebuild or replacement. I especially need to know what shop that could bring any out of tolerance housing or parts in a rebuild back to within tolerance. In past experience replacing parts in an out of tolerance housing etc. wont hold up very long. All advice appreciated.

Drive the dozer up to a tree stump or the like, put the blade on top of it and lift the front of the dozer up,see if it holds,if it does not hold it would be more than likely that the cylinder seals are bypassing, its unlikely the control valve would be damaged in the lift and lower section,if you had no trouble like a pump failure or some other internal parts of the hydraulics coming adrift I doubt if the trouble is in the valve, you would have noticed the lever been jammed or hard to move if anything was fouling it,the spool is a slip fit in the bore, don't forget that the seals are wearing parts and it is normal for them to be changed now and again,if the seal is weak on one side that is enough for the blade to drop,in the past I had large valve chests rebored and the spools built up and machined,it turned out to be a waste of time and money.
