m610 bobcat

the speed selector valve was leakin I removed and replaced with one I had off of another that I had junked out.since then I have not been able to get it to work.Icant get any oil to go to the drive sheve on the engine.Iremoved and put the old one back on, same thing can't increase the speed. Ihave tried to adjust the pressure, no luck. The bucket lifts full of dirt and the boom lifts and dumps fine . I just can't increase the speed. Any help appreciated.

Is it air locked? Can you get oil at the spot the line hooks to? Any oil at the end that goes to the drive sheave? If yours has good tight fittings you may need to crack it and try to push the air out. Mine leaked a bit on my 444 so I never had that problem.

It might also be one of the seals inside the variable speed sheave. When I rebuilt mine because it would not hold pressure, a seal was the problem, and I even went through an extra one trying to get it right. There are a couple of seals involved there. Easy to damage on re-installation.

Charlie I thank you for answering. but what blows my mine is this thing was working find; until I changed the valve which I had rebuilted I can not get any oil out the line that goes to the sheve I have adjusted the pressure still no oil. Ever thing points to something wrong with the valve. I will let you know when I get time to get back on it thanks

charlesi have been busy and have not had time to work on this problem. THE MORE I think about it I belive the speed selector valve has internal problems.when I push the handle forward I get no oil going through the line to the veriable sheve. I will let you know whene I find out.'

Sounds very reasonable. I'll be interested to hear results. Once disconnected, can always be checked just with air of course.
