I am am repairing the parking brake on my Case 450 dozer. There is a hand lever with a cable that goes below the foot platform to the brake mechanism somewhere but I cant find where to attach it. (The doer didn't have one when I got it.) Does anyone know where the cable attaches? The two arrows drawn in pencil in the diagram are the end I am talking about.

Thanks

On the front of the transmission there are two housings that are on each side of the driveshaft. If you watch them when the brake pedal are pushed you will see a lever on top of the housing move. There is a hole there for the pin to fasten tthe park brake cable on each side .

Interesting. I noticed those holes on the arms but the way I see the brake arms move is the arms move up and apart wen you apply the brake So the parking brake must be a 'push cable' if the two shackles attach to each of these brake bell crank arms. See photo.

Am I thinking right on this??

The photo above is of the brake pod that is currently mounted on the left brake/track side as you drive. The slave cylinder drives the bell crank arm on the brake pod and on my tractor, the arms face towards the center of the tractor as you can see in the photo. I see what you are saying, so the brake bell crank arms should face out which would happen if i reversed the pods and then the parking brake cable would attack properly to the arms.
Correct?

The brake pods were this way when I got it. Who would have thought....
