please help....the seal on the hydraulic pump on my case 580c keeps pushing out of the seat. what can cause this is it the pump or a relief valve maybe?
 
Lots of so called mechanics make the mistake you are making. The shaft seal you are replacing seals nothing but drip oil pressure. Your internal case pressure is held by end plates on the pump gears. Once the oil goes behind the plates and seals then it will PUSH out the shaft seal. You either need to take your pump to a pump shop and have it rebuilt or get you a repair manual have at it. Replacing the seal is not the answer.
