A/C crawler Loader

I have a 1960's A /C H3 Crawler Loader that i put new steel clutches in last winter . now the right one won't pull or engage. any ideas ? i hate the thought of pulling it back apart, one mechanic said to fill the clutch housings with power steering fluid, but so far it hasn't helped the left side works fine, Help. at [email protected] or ph. 219-771=1343 Ron C

not a good idea to put oils in the clutch housing. these are dry clutches. I did that long ago and had to drain the oil out. there is a 2 inch plug on bottom of housing for clutches. I would pull the top cover and see what is locking that side up. might be just a pin slid part way out.

What exactly do you mean its not pulling or engaging, has the track no drive on that side or is the leaver flopping about and has no feel when you move it.

A J. yep the left side pulls, but has no free play. the one on the right dosen't turn the the track any? i have tried to adj. it didn't make any difference. A guy from Ca. called me and told me i need to take tops off and see if the clutches are alined right. I know i probably shouldn't put steering fluid in them , but I was trying to free them up Thanks for the help. Ron
