I have a NH L779 Skid Steer. The boom lift cylinders were leaking so I am attempting my first repacking job. I've already installed a seal kit and have got the cylinder back together up to the point of trying to get the snap ring in that holds the gland in place. I just can not get the beefy snap ring to go into the housing. Any suggestions on how to compress it?
