Will it go in other gears? OR has it been in other gears ?( Lately) There is a gear lock out as I remember? I think it work with clutch linkage? Look at shifter going in transmission.Next to it there's a small linkage with a spring it's about 8" long with small spring. As I recall? It doesn't move much . Put some oil on pins & spring work linkage ? I think there is a ajustment there to ? Keep in mind win ajusting it has a clutch brake ! It should come on the last inch or two when stepping in clutch ? & make sure oil clutch throw out bearing (some) it sooks up a pad to oil bearing . There is a plug r.h. Side bottom of bell housing to drain extra oil that's been in clutch housing for years . Don't leave plug out Mickey Mouse will build a nest in there . Drill a hole in plug & cotter pin I call them have it loose in drill hole so oil can excape . Don't ask me how I know .

Widetrack,
Thanks for the response. Will shift between reverse and 3rd but not into 1st, 2nd or 4th. I flushed mud and dirt out of bung hole on R.H side of transmission. Have oiled/greased everything I could fine. Am in process of pulling transmission. Will let you know how turns out

[quote="Get someone in cab on shifter trying to move in other gears. You can watch & see where it's trying to go (little shifter on out side of trans). Check under operator platform there's a pivot for the arm that go's to trans shifter.Make sure it has play &grease. When free it will move little shifter on trans left&bright & front& back to make your shift pattern. If you pull engine watch going back together (The live power shaft going from flywheel to front of trans remove bearing quill &seal cap 3-4 bolts). That shaft has a gear on eng that in gauges crank or flywheel (can't remember). If it's not in place it will push cap & seal &brake casting.( Don't Ask me) They say that how you learn! Is yours a 9T ?
