T340 IH, Governor/carb adjustment

T340 IH Crawler, C135 gas. Rebuilt carb. No throttle response from the the cab. It does move the governor lever. Manually open the carb throttle, the governor rocker shaft does engage to full tension. Guess I need to start at the beginning. Any guidance/help/hints would be welcomed.
 
Most common mistake is you put the throttle shaft arm on upside down or backwards, check you linkage again. If the governor and throttle were working when you tore it down got to be something simple you are missing.. Good luck with the t340.

You'll enjoy this. I'm admitting in public. I was doing several things at one time. I missed putting the throttle control rod back in the lower support. Duh! Re-adjusted everything. Runs fine. As a note.... The tedious part is the carb throttle shaft bracket, that the rocker arm shaft lever attaches to. If not in the perfect position, the idle and high speed will not be correct. What a pain, but I got it. Too bad the engineers didn't put it on the side that you could get to it. Have to hold your tongue to the left side, drink 2 beers, burn the heck on your fingers, and pray God you don't have to do it twice. LOL
 
Well you was man enough to come back and admit you had a problem but was pretty easy to tell , like I said all you had off was the carb so had to be there somewhere. Glad you got it going, now for the good part. If it has a hydraulic reverser get ready for problems and after that steering clutches. Dad was an ih dealer when those things were new and they were really not much new and I can,t think of keeping a 50 year old one running long.. LOL I have laid under a bunch of them nothing easy about working on one of them.

Actually bought it from someone I knew. Steering clutches done. Hyd good, had to do the filter twice, but fine now. If it breaks, I'll tackle it.
