Td18a starter

Need some help. My uncle has a Td 18A crawler and a few
years back the starter went out and he was unable to locate
anybody to rebuild it. Over the years it was thrown away. My
question is I have found a couple of starters in other states but
have been told that the TD18 had come out with three
different kind of starters. Without the original starter I can?t get
a number off of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. He
said it is a 1958 model and was told the starter was a 12 volt
13 tooth with three bolt holes. Serial number to the tractor is
TDR 30144

The Wilson on-line e-cat shows a Delco 12-tooth for the '58 models, I didn't check what's shown for the older models. (Re-man is Wilson 91-01-3685.)

Go to this link and drill down through the menus, and you can check that out.

Start with "Application Search".

Also, I would try asking the folks at FP Smith, in California.

according to my quick research the TD18A built 1957-58 only had one possible starter, 12 volt delco #1113339. TD15's, 20's, 24's and 25's had several for each model, mostly 24 volt. I may be able to supply you with a new one or I can rebuild the one you find .

Call both companies. Was advised that don?t make the starter anymore. If you can locate one. Send me how much it is.
