Hello; I have a chance on a td9 that does not run now. It will turn over by hand. Is their any value in this? Thanks Ron

Is it 4 cylinder or 6? The early ones (4 cylinder)were trouble with a capital "T" . Notorious for cracked heads and they are rather complex to work on and keep running with the gas starting cycle. But, if you have one that's good and you understand how to run it, they aren't bad machines. Another bad point is the availability of engine parts. The 6 cylinder was a big improvement.

To be honest see what they want for the thing , take that and walk out on the front porch and throw it in the wind. At least you will get the satisfaction of seeing the money blow away. All that thing will be is a money pit, like the one poster said if it is the old start on gas then go to diesel engine you will be hard pressed to keep it running . If it happens to be a 9b with the 6 cylinder it will have a cracked head most likely and when running the engine was too big for the old rear end so they shelled the finals regularly. Think I would save my money till I could find something better.
