Hydraulic not picking up blade

T34o IH Crawler. No leaks, changed filter & fluid(filter was horribly stopped up & collapsed). Worked great for about 6 hours. Started to work very slowly, now hardly at all. Fluid still looks clean & full.
Any good educated guess of where to start 1st? I'm thinking maybe the filter stopped up again. Help welcomed.

I suspect your relief valve is either bad or full of gunk or stuck open. Not sure where your relief valve is. just saying.

I you have he old style filter with the metal cage and two small cylindrical filter units, they can clog up pretty fast if there's
some gunk somewhere in the system. I used to have to change them more than I wanted, since the hydraulics really slowed down. You
would usually hear pump noise if flow to the pump was restricted, in which case you need to deal with it right away before damaging
pump. The location of the filter means you really have to clean out the area around the cover before taking it off. There's a newer
one piece filter unit, which perhaps you have already. There's also an add-on extension to the filter opening that lets you install
a larger filter. I did that when I added a backhoe attachment, but you shouldn't need it for your set-up.
The relief valve on mine is on the control valve. Easy access.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, filter. I've changed it once & it was so stopped up, it had collapsed. Was working fine for about 10 hours. Will try that 1st, when I get time. I'll let you know.

This isn't tractor-related, but I lost use of the snow plow on my truck last year. Ordered a rebuild kit for the pump. Opened it up to find that someone had rebuilt the pump some time before, but had failed to install the filter retaining clip. Worked that plow on our place for about 3 years before it suddenly stopped. Come to find out, all I had to do was open the reservoir up and re-install the filter....plus add the clip which wasn't there.

I don't mind problems like that one. They're a pleasure to fix -- providing it's not 20-below outside!

I had the new type filter. The "screen" with the pressure clip, that holds the filter in, was clogged with debris. I don't think the paper filters were clogged, but changed it anyway(cheap fix). Works fine now. Did not clean the check value(yet).
