Hi how hard is it to pull a pony motor off a 2 d cat about a 1958 model thank you if know

It,t a big job to pull the poney motor on d2 cat you need to removed the bottom bolts and one on rear you need a ratchet 1/4 with extention and joint and dont forget to drain coolant in big motor first.

also the last D2 was in 1957---either 4U or 5U models

U WILL BE HAPPY WITH A HORIZONTAL LAWN MOWER CARB...CHEAP, ALWAYS WORKS, NO FLOOD...BE BLESSED, GRATEFUL, PREPARED..

Hi Nik which lawn mower carb are you talking about ? As I would like to try it . As this is the first d 2 I have try to fix. thank you for answer.

what is wrong with it that you think you need to pull it.. excessive oil consumption? low compression? no spark?
if all these are good then usual problem is fuel,--check for good flow from the tank, the tanks are known to rust and get flaky inside---the carb will probably have to be cleaned, and there are small passages in the bottom that usually clog up. have to drill out a plug to get to it
