Hi guys,
Trying to identify a 933 Loader,as I want to get correct manuals.
Engine tag is 25A 1**. Rear tag is 11A26**.
Block is number 8H6300 UUMNAO.
Is this an E or F model?
Located Australia.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks
Jim.

Seems you have a hybrid. The 11Axxxx series is early 933 that uses the D311 engine same as D2.
The Australian 25A series is listed as a 42Axxxx 933G and would have the later D311H NA engine with 8Hxxxx block.

Thanks OM,
This is my first foray into old CAT gear.
This loader has 4F/2R Gearbox,no reverser.
Naturally aspirated engine has electric start,24Volt generator.

I'm wondering ,is there a definitive way of identifying the engine...is there a number on the head,or somewhere that is conclusive?

At the rear, above drawbar, there are 2 plates.Left side has the 11A number,Right side is illegible at present..maybe transmission number??

Thanks ,
Jim

The D311H has the 24v starter on the RH side as viewed from the seat. Engine has the low profile (pot metal) rocker arm cover.

Thanks OM,
This machine has the big starter on the right side.
I'll look at the Rocker cover tomorrow.

The belly plates are full of dirt,so I'm cleaning them out so I can get a look at everything .
I'll tidy up the wiring & try to start her up.

Hi D9Gdon,
..about 5 years before I was born.
For block 8H6300 UUMNAO, do the numbers or letters indicate the build date?

I washed the whole machine today. It was bad...belly plates full of dirt . The area around the gearbox & the operator area was the hardest to clean. Lots of caked-on grease/dirt,& hard to get it away.

On the engine (LH side)I found a large plate below the ID tag. I will clean it up & see what info is on it...might be patent stuff,or maintenence info.
I use oven cleaner to clean up the ID plates. Works OK,but nasty stuff.

Hi Jim good luck with your investment, the 933 11A would be one of the first of that line, as OM said no reverser, were lot of them here in the UK,weak point the gearbox and they will be the cause of me never getting into heaven for all the cursing I used to do repairing the gearboxes, right SOB to work on,good enough of a work horse otherwise, doesn't like soft ground and good for keeping the driver awake with a straight exhaust stack, most of the early ones were pony start we imported and converted them to direct start, they were good sellers esp when they had a 4 in 1 conversion, that time it was Drott buckets we used yard and a qrt I think.
