H 3 steering clutches.

I have a H 3 Allis Chalmers crawler loader,last winter i put new steel clutch plates in, it worked good for a while, now the left one won't adj. to get any free play any ideas. i really don't want to tear into it again, if i don't have to. Thanks , Ron Cutler,

You may have to so little can be done from the outside,have a good look at the linkage to make sure everything is moving as it should.usually when the clutch tightens up like yours has done it is because the pressure plate trust ring is moving out against the release bearing and tightening up against the lever.either the discs are worn or the pressure plate springs are weak.

Ok AJ .but there all new, that's why i don't understand what could have happened unless something came loose.thanks for the help
 
Yes I seen that in the first post,something could have come adrift you may have to take the cover off to have a look.

A.J. thanks for your help, you were right, i just was under my H3 and there is an arm broke off in side part of it fell down into the drain hole, so now i have to take it apart, hope all is well , thanks again for your help. Ron Cutler
