780 case, engine swap/detroit

wondering if I could get a different engine, even if I had buy a conversion plate,, its a 336bdt, so I guess its around 120hp. Allison trans

I've heard of at least one 680 Case that had a Detroit 4-71 put in to replace a 336 Case. If you take careful note of the bell housing... diameter and number of bolts, you're likely to find a Detroit with the same bell housing.

it looks like a sae #1 housing, except trans side is not round and has a place for the starter from the 336, guess you would just figure out a cover for that area.
