873 bobcat updat....ncwayne?

ok i got a lot of the mud and gook cleaned out of the machine. the last thing bobcat replaced was the right joystick contol . i can start the machine, press the green button and get a clear board. the left bucket control will raise and lower the bucket. as soon as you try and activate the right control to curl the bucket, the ahc lite comes on and locks out the controls. can you point me in a direction?

also, i tried to calibrate the ahc per the manual, it is a hand control only machine, it does not seem to want to run thru the calibration cycle. bobcat just replaced the right control.

That's an odd scenario for sure. First question, have you got a serial number on it?

That said, I'll be honest, I haven't messed with the hand control machines all that much so I'll have to see what I've got manual wise and see what I can see.

For right now, if I had a book, I'd be finding the lockout valve on the wiring diagram, and back tracing to see if there was any obvious connection between the controller and the solenoid valve. Barring that, it sounds to me like a short somewhere causing a false signal, which is causing the valve to lock.

That said, the way I understand these newer systems, there should be some way to read a code on it to at least get you aimed in the right direction. Is it kicking out any codes?

wayne the serial number is 514144401. i ran thru the test to check for codes using the headlight button, and the hour meter display says none. this machine does have the hand control option with push button float, if that helps,. i am trying to get copies of what the two bobcat dealers replaced, sounds like the rt control stick, 2 circuits boards, the seat interlock switches, and i dont know what else. each time it came out of the shop it worked for a while, then started doing the same thing. i did download the service manual and will locate the wiring harness diagrams.

Hi off topic of your post, I have a bobcat 763c I believe I'm having problems with the Bics/boss system. Example - I can put my lap bar down and hit the bypass button I have bucket controls only up down tilt curl- but... I have no wheel drive or green light for wheel on my display. All other lights are green except wheel drive. WHEN LAP IS IN THE UP POSITION- I hit the bypass button the wheel drive will unlock and I have a green on Bics / boss . Why is this? I need bucket and drive dunction to operate. Can I disable ? Can I rig it? Thanks

Sorry forgot to add- when my lap bar is in the up position I have wheel drive, but no bucket function , lap bar is down I have bucket function and no drive its one or the other FYI this post goes to the previous post I did above ^^^^^ need help
