Hello All,
Like the title says I have a Case TerraTrac 600 Dozer with a Continental 4 cylinder diesel motor.
Ring gear on flywheel came off so trying to pull motor to repair. Not having any luck getting motor pulled. We are unbolted, tourque converter and all the bolts to flywheel casing. Pulled hydraulic pump and motor mount on the front.
The issue is the top of the motor will not pull away from flywheel housing on the top. Appears there are two pins in the top that will not come apart. I have a small gap in the bottom 1/2 between motor and flywheel housing. I have tried prying as hard as I dare without breaking something. Have even tried pulling the motor forward with a come along wrapped around motor and then to the blade. Once again as much pressure as I felt comfortable.
I have supported the flywheel housing with a jack.
Any help would be appreciated, using a torch to heat anything is not an option. Too much oil and since I am broke down on the side of a mountain there is no way to get it powerwashed to use a torch.
Thanks for any help or advise you can offer.
