just bought an early 70s 580b case backhoe. the foot pedal throttle works good, but the column throttle lever does not work. can anyone help me with this problem? and how can two different levers on the same rod work? or am i missing something? thanks stoner!!!

my international works like that. I suspect if you follow your linkage down you may find it unhooked or loose. I use my foot pedal for travel. the throttle is used to set the rpm when using the back hoe.

It has several roll pins at the bottom of the vertical
rod ,most likely a broken pin.

If you need a new vert rod, I have one here.

The link should show you the lower throttle linkage, click "back to manual" and you can chose the upper linkage, should help you find what is missing/broken, the throttle just over rides the foot throttle for setting engine speed
