Have a 1963 IH TD6 series 62 with stuck engine. Thinking its not worth rebuilding engine. Farm use and not beat up so to speck. Where would a decent salvage yard be near Indiana to sell to. Has good blade and cylinders, its been setting for years so engine being a diesel is likely just parts. As an after though what gasoline engine would fit. I don't want to just sell parts and have rest setting around.

Wilson You have a problem. Thing is anyone that has one when something happens to it they just park it. Machine is too old for salvage. It is just not worth the cost of sending a truck and driver to load the thing and take it in. 30 yeas ago I could part a td6 ever 90 days but now days going to be hard to find anyone. Only person that I can think of that MIGT remotely be interested is Willie Chartran Red Bud Ill. 618 282 6687 and I think he will tell you what I have answered above but might be worth a try.

Id love to buy it from you but it would cost alot to have it hauled 70 miles west of St Louis, Mo. Ive been looking for one in my area that dont run.
