according to the parts info the lift and crowd are identical so I need either or maybe both depending on the price(s), my tube and rod are beyond repair and any help regarding to a good fix is appreciated --- thanks JIM

When I needed the crowd cylinder for my old JD backhoe, not wanting to spend that kind of money JD wanted I found a new cylinder made by Prince, with the same bore and length for about 1/2 JD price. Worked great and was still on it when I sold it. You might check to see what they offer.. Prince Double Acting Welded Hydraulic Cylinder; 3 Bore Dia. (In.), 36 Stroke (In.)

Don't know what happened there and there is no edit,I was saying you need to measure your cylinder and find a salvage yard and see if you get one as near as,I'm in the repair business in the UK and any hydraulic shop that would make a rod would also be able to make the cylinder barrel easier in fact but that road is big bucks, why is your cylinder barrel so bad that they need replacing?.

that method crossed my mind but if I went that route it would really cost more then a good used one that will fit right off.... first I would have to have the ends cut off of mine and then welded on to a "prince" aftermarket model and in addition to that I would then have to add hydraulic hoses to the ports as mine are steel tubing for the double acting ports and given that the $$$ add up to or close to : cylinder + s&h + machining +welding + hoses Changes from steel lines to hoses = $ 1000 ! Crazy but it is what it is ---thanks for yor help
