I wanted to know if it was necessary to remove the pivot lever to replace and remove the 3 piece brakes on my 1948 TD 6. Found a tractor wrecking yard that has people familiar with the older TD 6 crawlers. It is not necessary to remove the pivot lever to remove and install the brakes. Not all of the people at the place have the knowledge. One person I talked to told me he has done many brake jobs on the older TD 6 crawlers.
