60' Ford industrial diesel oil pressure

Forum,
Just changed oil on an old Pettibone skidder with Ford industrial diesel engine. Oil is 15-40 Delvac oil and it pegs the gauge at about 80 psi cold, idle it is about 40 psi. Should I wait for it to warm up before getting concerned.
Second question, has a front mount hydraulic pump and I need to change the generator belt but belt goes around the front mount pump shaft. What is the preferred method to change belt? Looks like the shaft could be dismantled from crank shaft pulley?? Any and all thoughts welcome!

I don't think you need be concerned about the oil pressure 40psi on idle is good, warm it up and see what it reads.look and see if the oil gauge is electric or mechanical,ie is it a pipe or wire going from the engine to the gauge, most of the pump couplings need to be removed from the pulley to get the belt in,most people put a spare belt over the shaft while they have the coupling off.

Your advice on changing the fan belt worked very well. Thought I may have trouble clearing the crank pulley. Not a problem. Will get a new belt tomorrow. Thanks again!
