Proofmeter for an H4 Allis dozer

My proof meter is missing on my machine. I have looked all over this thing and cant find where a drive cable would go to. So is this proof meter electrical driven or where does the cable go to. Can some one look at there h4 and tell me. thanks Norm

There are two different types,the electric hour meter and a mechanical hour/tacho meter both driven from the back of the generator,the electric hour meter only has a connection on the back of the generator usually the W terminal,the hour/tacho meter is cable driven and requires a gear on the generator to take the cable,the parts book is calling what we commonly call an alternator a generator.
