got the hydraulics figured out,,, now ran it a lil, apparently has lost all oil pressure and is locking up... what would be the cause of total loss of pressure?

Engine oil pressure? I know on my 680H there is a pressure hose from the pump to the block...if that were to rupture you'd lose all pressure. I put a new one in when I had the pan off even though the old one was good...just in case. Of course it can be something else??

If its full of oil and you lost oil pressure suddenly it is a good chance it is that flexible hose that Nordic mentioned, the other thing that it could be is the relief valve in the oil pump stuck open.gear sheared or?,you will have to pull the oil pan to see whats gone wrong, hope the crank is not damaged.

I will likely be pulling the pan , damage somewhere as the engine is locking up, seems it would have full oil pressure or none?,,,, Im thinking about draining the oil, then putting in diesel running that for a minute, then try oil again,, just to see if I revive pressure,,, idk,, it looks like it would be a monster to work on, think I may hire some experienced help.

Running the engine on diesel is a very bad idea,it will wash the oil from the crucial parts like the crank and the bearings they will bind up,get the experienced mechanic to look at it for you,do not run it any more.
