1957 JD 420 crawler

Taking a shot in the dark but have to ask. I was pushing snow with it, worked fine. Grabbed the right clutch/brake and it seemed to have stuck open. The right track wouldn't engage again. So it just wants to go in a circle, lol. I believe it is a clutch pack, any suggestions? It was extremely cold when operating, I wonder if moisture caused the clutch to freeze and stay disengaged.

I'm in Missouri, its at the farm in Montana. I'm headed out there for a few days and may fool with it if I have time. Any thoughts? I have the manual for it.

I am't sure but should be in final drive top shaft stripp spleene

My 440IDC did that when it stripped the splines out of the final
drive bullgear

if it was working fine then quit I would suspect a broken or stripped drive shaft.

Or ball bearing worn out, dropped one of bearings onto final drive smashed into a tooth.
