Hough ha payloader starter

Need a little troubleshooting. Bought a really good condition ha payloader. Has original 6v system. Don't really want to change that. Been around 6v for years.if there right they start fine.
On this it barely turns it over. Had the starter rebuilt and cleaned all surfaces for good ground. All cables are large and clean. I'm losing amps along the way.
Could I be losing amps through solenoid or starter button.
By the way new battery. Even when I jump start still slow turning over.
Thanks in advance

Just because it was rebuilt does not mean it was rebuilt correctly. Same holds true for a new battery and I have seen many of both be bad from the get go. I would have the starter and battery check to make sure they are in fact good

Would really take a good look at the cables. I scrap a lot of 6 volt N fords and see battery cables that are corroded inside the coating. It reduces the juice going to the starter.
