Case 310 carb settings

I recently bought an old Case 310 that runs a little less than smooth. Was wondering what the carb settings should be for it.
Also, I don't know exactly which model this is. Maybe a C? There's no id plate anywhere, it's been painted and don't know where to find the serial number.

Start off by checking the vent in the fuel tank is not blocked, then turn off the fuel, take off the glass sediment bowl and clean the gauze filter that is in the top, turn on the fuel momentarily to see is has a decent flow out of the tank, turn the fuel off if the flow is good,if its not you may have to remove it to clean it,drain the carb bowl, check that the electric pump is working, check the wire connections are tight, there are two adjust screws, with the engine running at low speed turn the air one screw it in till the engine speed drops, then turn it back a turn, rough running is more often caused by dirty plugs and points, check their condition and renew them if necessary,it will be money well spent, better running and easier starting.
Good luck AJ

Thank you. The plugs that are in there are Auto lite 386. Don't know of that's the correct plug or not. They are black, not grey, so that's why I was asking about the carb settings.

The parts book says the spark plug is Champion D-16,the Case # is G4480,the points Case # F10714,condenser 1869704.
