Diesel Tch:No model # on the tag but the ser.#is20906 RP if that helps. Set # isSR63/900/3/2130. I bypassed every thing on the engine and I am injecting clean filtered diesel directly into the pump via electric fuel pump; 5-9psi. The first time at the D shop the clerk said it barely made the spec pressure because the barrel had some rust and had to be sanded clean. It didn't start so I had him install a new barrel, pressure exceeds specs. After a year I started working on the machine again.To be on the safe side is the top lever the fuel shut off or is it the bottom lever. Nobody around here has a 6 cyl Perkins. Thanks Udo

On the Perkins vertical mount pump the lower is the shutoff lever, and must be fully counterclockwise for the run position. Turning it clockwise is stop fuel position. Top lever is the throttle lever control. The pump fuel setting code is similar to the Oliver 1850 Perkins engine. The bleed screw in the pump housing next to the tag is the most important one, it must have air free fuel when bleeding.
