AC 715D Backhoe (1974) Seal Kit

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a seal Kit for my father-in-laws

1974
Allis Chalmers
715D Backhoe

The OEM part number is
1008688-2

I have been searching the web and various parts sites but have not been able to locate this seal kit. I am hoping that someone can direct me to a source that has AC Backhoe parts or can help find them.

Is this for all the hyd. cylinders ?

go to machinery trader parts search---usually works pretty good

For an old brand, that no longer exists, finding a true seal kit is going to be difficult, if not impossible.

That said, your best bet will be to take the cylinder apart and get the parts matched up at a hydraulics shop. For one it will be a lot easier than finding a kit, and for two, it will be alot cheaper than the kit, IF you can find one.

The kit is actually for the bucket tilt cylinder.

NCWayne, I passed on your advise to Popi, (Father-in-law) and he going to disassemble and send parts home with my wife for me to take to a hydralics shop in denver. Thanks, I'll let you know how it works out.

I always got mine from MINNPAR. May have to go through your local AGCO dealer. Parts are available.
