TD7 cylinders

I want to reseal my hydraulic cylinders on a dresser / international TD7G. the gland nuts have no holes for a spanner wrench. about the only thing I can think of using at this point is maybe trying a chain wrench. has anyone been through this before? thanks

Well myself i have not worked on them , BUT if I H made the cylinders then there is a vary good chance that they used a thin square metal band / ROD what ever and one end has a hook that fits into a notch in the end cap and you twist the end cap and it in turn winds it's self in and around and locks the end cap in place . SOOOooooo look on the barrel just a little ways back from the end cap and you may find a rectangle slot and if this is the case then that is where you unwind the loc strip by using a pick to lift the end up as you turn the end cap . I made a special tool for this for the Ag cylinders . Pictures would be a big help .
