Case 350 drain torque converter

Case 350 dozer. Where / how do I drain the torque converter fluid. Operators manual says to turn the motor over by hand until the drain plug is visible. Quite logical. I haven't found that yet. Lots of mud underneath. I know that the torque converter is in the 'bell housing'. I think maybe the oil pan skid plate is in the way covering an access port. Do I have to remove the skid plate to find the torque converter drain plug? Seems it should not be that difficult. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Help please. the skid plate is there to protect the drive train,, yes you have to pull the skid pan,,, also some convertors have a drain plug but not all do
