Transmission fluid blow-out??

I just bought my second JD350.

The transmisison took several quarts of JD 303 fluid to bring it to the FULL mark on the dipstick. When I moved it for the first time, a lot of fluid was blown out on the ground. The dipstick now comes out dry.

Any ideas, especially any that don't require a major teardown.

Not 100% sure on the 350, but most transmission levels are checked with the engine running, just like an automatic transmission on a vehicle. If checked, and filled with the engine stopped, there is the chance of overfilling it, thus causing the problem you describe.
