moving drott after standing 6 years

I have been asked to assist moving a drott which has been standing out for at least 6 years it has a 4 in 1 bucket and a rear mounted ripper and one track has come off any ideas anyone .
I live in mid wales UK

well the track should be put back on so your not dragging the sprocket and rollers. If the tracks are frozen soaking them with water will help to break the rust. Winch cables to move it should be run over the top of the tracks and hooked to the top pads over the sprocket, then you not only get a horizontal load but also a tendency to rotate the track to get it to roll

Is it sitting on high ground, burried in sod, or sunk in the mud? Also how large is the machine, do you have another machine to help move it, ordo you think it might move under its own power?

From my limited experience having the machine running can make putting a track on much easier. I would check all the oil and coolant levels, look for water or coolant or abnormally high levels on the engine oil stick (indicating a crack that may have dumped the coolant into the crank case) , bring booster cables, starting spray, and a fresh can of fuel, several jugs of water for the radiator and see about getting it to run. If you can get the track one tooth on the sprocket with the machine jacked up it might walk back on with the machine running in reverse. If it won't run a good selection of winches and chains, and ideally a JCB, could help slip that track back on if the machine won't run.

If the end goal is to get it running it would be easiest to do some work where it sits and move it under its own power. If the owner just wants to get rid of it, dismantling in place might be the best answer.
