International 500e crawler transmission oil leak

I've got a 1976 international 500e loader crawler that sprung a major oil leak today. Appears to be coming from input seal of charge pump just behind torque converter. I've never had this machine apart before, do I need to split the engine from rest of unit to change that seal?

if the 500e is like the 500c u have to slide the eng forward it will do so as a unit after u take the hyd hose off and remove the bellhousing bolts and the bolts off the touqre converter it will come out with the converter attached but u should remove it from the eng and slide it in the pump to reinstall also check the converter for a crack as after putting in 2 seals I found the converter to have a small crack near the hub
