Dresser TD15C. Shift. High/low

Just bought a 1982 dresser td15c. Shuttle was tied back, tractors moved a little, now has reverse only, no forward, shifter doesn't feel like it's hooked up ??? Any ideas

Well the hi/low being tied back should have told you transmission problems. But the hi/lo is just that the shifting of mechanical gears. IF it moves reverse it is NOT in neutral in the hi low part. Probably has the forward clutch pack out in the transmission. Take out transmissions run around $ 2500.00 working on that transmission is just about a dying breed. Few folks around but parts are also getting hard to come by. We used to do about 15 a year and I have a few parts. Where are you located?

I have a working transmission for a TD-15C. It was in a SN 1301, a 73 model. I junked the dozer a few years ago and saved the good parts.
