Old CASE 530 Construction King Hydraulic Help

Old CASE 530 Construction King loader tractor from 1964 has the model 32s loader with a PARKER Hannifin 2 handle control valve. I recently replaced all the lines, drained and installed new fluid and bled all the air out. Valve assembly does not leak and loader holds solid with a load after shut off.

The action is smooth on both lift and tilt but very slow and lots of rpms needed with no load or full load. It was a little faster prior to the clean up but still real slow. It is full and no leaks.

Does the valve assembly allow for adjustment normally? I see the hand adjustment knob on the rear of the valve but do not seem to get any difference in speed. Appreciate any experience with the old iron setup.
 
The main regulator valve is adjustable but I can't remember any knob for doing so,a dome nut had to be removed on the adjuster and then the jam nut,a screwdriver was used to turn the adjuster in or out,the most likely cause of it been slow to lift is the pump is worn and the flow has slowed up,check the main reg valve and if that checks ok consider the pump,always look on Ebay for any parts you may need,the Case part #of the pump is D31254,Google that number and it brings up a few.

Ok thanks. I will do a little more tinkering. The hand adjustment valve on the PARKER is similar to a throttle grip on a motorcycle, only metal. It appears to control a shaft adjustment by turning in or out against spring pressure in the rear of the PARKER control valve. I am just not sure mine is functioning.

If you google PARKER HANNIFIN Case loader valve pics, it shows a couple versions of the grip knob. One is the grip style and another is a large hex head on the back of the grip for tool adjustment rather than by hand. Appreciate the help.
 
I am well rusty on machines of that age,I think that hand adjuster has something to do with the float pressure,the main reg valve is the opposite corner,see the drawing.

Since it is from 1964, it is wonderful that any of us have working knowledge any longer. They are pretty basic but you
still have to poke around a bit or have a good reference. My service manual has pretty good rebuild information but
not much on actual adjustment. Thanks again.
 
Sounds to me to be a classic example of a worn out gear pump. Not a valve problem. That is, unless you have a very plugged filter.
