Mitsubishi DB2GII

BADDOZER

New User
Just bought a Mitsubishi BD2GII. Ran it for about 3 hrs before the engine bogged down and died. It starts back up, but as it idles for a short period of time it dies. I let it set for about 2 hrs, started it again and it ran fine for about 3 hrs, then died again. It is almost as though the fuel is cut off, but I checked all of the fuel switches and all are in the proper position. I can hear the fuel pump working, but I have not pulled it apart to see if it is actually pushing fuel out. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.

blow out all the fuel lines.had a rubber band one tine in a fuel line and as the fuel got warm the rubber band would expand in the line and stop fuel flow

Thanks for the suggestions. It appears that I solved the problem. First I took the suggestion to change the fuel filter which help some, but shortly after running the machine it started stalling out again. So I took the fuel pump apart. The fuel pump actually has a spin off end which contains a small filter inside that was completely coated with sludge. This machine had obviously been sitting for a while. I was unable to locate a new filter at any of the local parts stores in my area, so I cleaned it the best I could for now. Put it back together and the dozer runs like a champ. Thanks for the help marloweg and jm
