looking for steering box for d grader

It's been way too many years since I looked into it, but seems to me I found some references online to using a non-power steering box from a Chevy pickup to replace the factory Allis unit. I wish I could remember more info, sorry.

I believe that they are a Ross steering box but that doesn't mean that parts may be available.
