Does any one know if the connecting link in the cylinder body has a set screw/ect. that holds it in place on the spline portion of the shaft ? From the parts diagram it does not, have taken every bolt/hdy fitting out and the shaft refuses to slide out. Do they press out of the bushing on each side ? Any advice/help appreciated.. Thanks.

Do u have a book on it if not I have one at home will
try to remember to look at it them are kinda rate to
find if there not all broken up

We have the parts manual from the JD web site for the MC-1000 and 1000 Integral Carrier, was wondering if they had a service manual but haven't found one. Per the parts manual we have all the locking devices out of the housing. The shaft seems to be stuck on either the side bushings or the link to the piston, unless their is some hidden lock ring/set screw that we have not found. As you say, there are few and expensive when you do find them, trying to take all precautions not to damage the unit. Appreciate any help we can get.. thanks.

Thanks, Lavoy, say, according to the owner of the machine he got pressure plates, disks and tool / jig to set the clutches from you. The problem is their are no markings to tell on which tang on the tool to set the clutch fingers to. Can you tell me the correct location on the tool for the steering clutches of the 40 C. Thanks again.
