Dresser TD7H losing hydraulic oil

I am losing hydraulic oil from the machine. I may be wrong, but I believe the bell housing should be dry. I know there is a mist of oil coming from the hole in the left (passenger side) of the bell housing. I was pretty sure it had a plug in it, but it is gone now. I am trying to find an after market place for a seal kit for the pump. I haven't got the pump off yet to determine who actually made it. I will try to post back when I get it off. Just though someone might have already been down this road with a TD7H. Thanks

You are jumping to conclusions.. FIRST the housing is semi dry, as the torque convertor loses oil it is pumped back to the rear housing by the ring gear slinging the oil down the right side exiting down a line to the rear housing. There should be a cork plug in the hole you are seeing but you may have a plugged or pinched drain line. Real common for mud to build up in the belly pan and restrict the flow of the drain. Will be bottom right of the bell housing sitting in the seat boing to the mid rear housing. You do have TWO hydraulic pumps there on the bell housing. ONE runs you hydraulic or blade , IF you are loosing oil from that pump the tank on the right side of the seat will show lower sooner or latter. The other pump is the charge pump for the transmission and torque convertor. Jerking one off and replacing the shaft seal is no solution, if they are leaking will require complete rebuild. The leak is when the end plates get groves in them or are worn.

I have a TD7G. I was loosing hydraulic fluid as well. what I found was the steel hydraulic pump suction line had rubbed on the frame and caused a small hole. couldn't find it until the hydraulic fluid was hot. I replaced the bad pipe with single wire suction hose and some clamps.
