TD14 TD15 power steering

Hello, have some questions about my "new" TD15 series 151 - 1961 model i believe. If I am correct, it share many items with the TD 14.
I have the operaters manual and service manual. after ?? years of sitting we got it running and it would turmn left and right so I bought it.

it has never turned left like it should, feel like brakes are worn on the left. I have adjusted those per the manual.
thinking that it could also be the left steering clutch was no disengageing completely I went through the procedure for that too.

After all that the left steering lever pulls all the way back to the seat with the motor off or on. The right one feels normal - but does not disengage the steering clutch now. My tank is full of hyd. fluid

info on these is VERY hard to find. do i need to bleed the hyd steering system ? How ?

Can I remove the hyd steering system and just convert it to manual steering? i expect I could loop the pump line for the steering back to the pump ?

thanks for any help or ideas. it's currently not driveable : (

ok I found one of the problems. I apparently set the left clutch lever on one spline out of the needed location. so now I have the same "feel" on both levers. still think I will try to go manual and disconnect the levers from the hydraulic booster.

You are not going to like that, need that hydraulic boost on the lever more for the brakes than the steering but sure need to get it going. Pretty simple system , normally just some adjustments,

Well, you guys were right - it is VERY hard to steer, but I did get the compaction done on a hillside before the code compliance guy shows up.

I took the two high pressure lines going to the power steering pump ( on top of the trans) and ran them back to the resivoir.
At least I could drive it. Interesting, now it turned left better than it had WITH power steering. SO I think that confirms the steering clutch was not disengaging before - at least not completely.

I think I have two options now. 1. Pull the PS pump ( control valves ?) and try to rebuild/ reseal it . Or 2. Find a td14 or 15 with manual steering and swap those part on. I can see from pictures the manual steering models have some helper springs.

I had previously tried setting all the adjustments on the PS to spec per manual, but one day it worked ( sort of ) and the next it did not.

Jim, I don't see how the pump is related to the brakes. Is that the case on this 151 series tractor ? That would be great if I could have power brakes and steering

Thanks
