Broke the track adjuster chrome rod.How big a job is it to replace, and does anyone know where I can source one, possibly used.Just an old farm machine, trying to keep her going.Thanks.

I used reliable aftermarket parts for my 941b rod ,spring and nut be very carful handling the spring as mine took 14 tons to compress it

Those springs are fun aren't they? Used to do excavator ones all the time. PC200 ones were quite easy, never cared for the 4' long PC300 springs that took 30 tons to compress it to 3' while guiding the threads through the hole in the yoke that was only an 1/8" larger diameter than the rod. Never did like sticking my head over that spring to look in the yoke and see if it was lined up.

You don't have to remove the spring to replace the hyd track adjuster do you . The track adjuster butts up against the spring as I remember . Go on line and type the part # in and machinery trader will give you several choices with prices .

be sure to check the recoil spring for dirt, rocks and debris. if it can't compress a lot of force gets put on the adjuster and idler assembly
