450 case seals

I have a 450 Case crawler and want to replace the Hyd. seals on the rod and head . I ordered the seals from an aftermarket dealer . I told him it was a straight 450 , I see they are too big , I looked them up on Bulldog Seal site and says it is for 450B ,C .
Does any one know where I may get seals for a 1970 Straight 450 S/N 3047500 , this is an angle blade with out side cylinders on the push arms , no tilt . Thanks all.

any CASE construction dealer can order the correct seals you need,, you should take serial #'s from crawler and dozer if its still there

Thanks Case Nutty , guess I am a el cheapo , I try not to use the Dealer no more than I have too. I am sure they may have the parts at a more expensive price . I thought this site is about helping others with information about repairing , making good decisions and keeping cost LOW . I have found a Machine shop that says he has 28,000 seals in stock says he can match the seals I need . Malone Machine Shop in South Alabama , a 98 mile drive each way. Thanks for your reply .

sorry I was trying to help,, I thought you were wanting to get it running right away and just give you what I use,, seal kits from them will cost more than a hyd shop, we have those here as well I do use them at times also the last kits I bought and have on the shelf for future use on my equipment cost in the 50-75 range depending on the size and type.. again sorry if I offended you as that was not my intension, I will stop offering advise on these type questions

No , you did not offend me , I tried to explain I try to save money since I have 3 450s and a 580 C , when you are a owner you know more repairs need to be performed than the eye can see . I will need your advise I am sure . Please don't be up set at me .

on each end cap there is a part number that is the number you need for the seal kits they had many different kits

Up date , I tried saving money by pulling rods from Hyd. cylinder to install new packing , I could get one rod from cylinder but the other rod would not come out. Took the whole cylinder off the 450 Case and a Co. that matched up the packing and got the rod from cylinder charged me $400.00 so much for trying to save money .
