I have a 580ck case backhoe and am trying to change some of the bushings as they were completely wore out when i got it, i mean the bucket just dangles there.I have cut a section out with a sawsall and they still just will not come out. I have pics of it here, can anyone enlighten me on what im doing wrong? I have beat my brains out on these things and no luck.

You are going to need to have them welded up ,
and line bored back to std size. Most machine
shops can handle that , and they can press in
the new bushings at the same time ...

you can not cut bushings with a sawall way to hard unless some one changed them with something soft but the lower photo dose not look like the bushing but the socket for the bushing or someone welded a home made space in

If you can cut whatever I'm seeing in the first pic with a saw, it's not a true bushing as it would be far too hard to cut that way. I really think the line making it look like there is a bushing there, is just a leftover from a washer, etc, and there really isn't any kind of bushing in the hole. If the line was anything else, any bushing would have already come out with what you did in the first pic, and would have come out by itself in the second with the hole worn like it is.

With the hole in the second pic being so messed up, the only way to get the job done right is to have the existing holes either bored oversized and sleeved back down to the right size to put hardened bushings in it, or welded up and then bored out to fit a hardened bushing.

For your bushings, try like McMaster Carr, or MSC, and look for spring steel bushings. One name brand I am real familiar with is Connex. Get the holes sized right, install a Connex bushing, and the bucket will outlast you.

Good luck.

Tank you guys for the info, ive never seen a buncka jimmy riggin in all my life. Im trying to go behind someone that obviously didnt care or was just plain stupid and fix it the right way. Always hard to rebuild than to build new, thank you all
