That is part of the bell housing that has the pump for the Torque Converter in it. It bolts to the other part of the bell housing that then bolts to the block. This is on my CASE 610 Terramatic drive Diesel that I am restoring. I pulled the pump apart for inspection and change the O-rings, gaskets and seals. The pump looked brand new. And of course, clean it all up for repaint!

Thanks Billy, I see the "test forum' down there at the bottom of the page. I should of looked for it!

Now it does, maybe the scale and nothing beside it, it kind of looked like the inside of a LPG Vaporizer at first glance. Looks like a ground up restoration, well at least the engine anyways

Yes. It will be a ground up restoration. Not sure what the final drives are going to take, maybe a seal or two. I don't plan on going into them if I dont have to. So far everything on this crawler seems to be complete, and short of the spun rod bearin, all in good working order when the rod spun. I contacted the fella I bought it from years ago the other day and he said it was all working fine prior to a cold start and spun rod.
