I have a 1985 JCB 1550B backhoe. It needs some hoses and I'm hoping to avoid the dealer at all costs if possible. Does anyone know where I can get the fittings for JCB type hoses? They're special British fittings BSPP or BPP, something like that. I found a place to get some reusable JCB type ends for the hoe section (5/8" hose), but these do not seem identical to the fittings on the machine now. The fittings on there now have a rubber washer on the male flared end, whereas the replacement resuable fittings have the same male flared end, but do not have the rubber washer (otherwise seem identical).

Is it a big deal to use a fitting that doesn't have this type of rubber washer? (as long as everything else is the same?) Obviously hydraulic fittings can work just fine without them, that's why the reusable ends don't have them in the first place. Just wondering if they'll work without leaking or seeping excessively. If anyone has any ideas or knows of a good source of cheaper hydraulic ends/hoses (and parts for the JCB in general), please let me know. Thanks...
