to open a can of worms are the wet clutches really that much better than the dry clutch ones in the lower north east climate ? jd-350 c are a bit more pricey for me not planning on making a living with it . or does the cost out way the future repairs on locked up steering clutches in future ?

The oil immersed steering clutch lasts longer than dry and you don't have the problem of oil leaking on to the brakes bands.having said that there are hundred's of thousands of dry clutch machines working all over the world,true if you leave the machine parked for long periods the dry clutch can stick but a few simple precautions like making sure there is no water in the housing and to run the machine once a month should keep them free.
