looking for some used parts for a jcb 1550b. no places close to me has anything in jcb. looking for the rear cylinder that tips the bucket on boom or parts for that cylinder, as well as some wiring and glass.
anyone know of any place that has these machines for sale for parts?
thanks
Gary

There are lots of JCB parts on ebay and Machinery trader,do you need the whole bucket cylinder, usually its the rod that gets damaged and most people would go to the local hydraulic shop and they would make up a replacement rod.

it's the end with the seals on it, that screws to the rod. has a "dowel" in it that broke and rattle around and I can't get the end screwed off, plus it's all metric. have not seen one on ebay as of yet.

No there is not a cylinder on ebay,is the dowel you talking about the lock for the piston,I have never known one of those to break before, the out side was threaded to use a pull screw to remove it,try drilling it out.

it sets under the wide sealing ring on the piston? that's the one. I got it out, but apparantely it wiggled around enough to mess up the threads. I even had my 1" impact on it and would not budge. the piston part is 325.00 and I would like to find a used one if possible, if not will have to cut it off.

The torque on the piston would be way higher than the capacity of the impact wrench, impact wrenches are for things like wheel nuts etc not for assembled parts, secure the rod so it held solid such as the bucket hangers, block the rod up near the piston on wood, heavy duty inch drive socket and a 10ft cheater, that should get it loose.drill a new hole for the dowel on assembly.

will try a longer cheater. had a pipe wrench on it with a 6 foot cheater and my 300lbs on the end. we got it to move a few rounds then it got tighter but we could try a longer one.

I misunderstood you I thought you could not move the nut at all,if the nut is moving then its the damaged thread that is stopping it coming off,I would screw it back and drill the hole a bit bigger and try again,if it will not free a bit it will probably ruin the threads on both the rod and nut if you have to force it all the way off, consider splitting the nut,why are you taking the piston off.

That's what I thought, the other option you have is to cut the eye from the rod and remove the cap and reseal it,reweld the eye back on,tighten the piston back up and and drill new dowel hole, new set of seals on the piston, bodge but cheap.

Hav 1700b we have had to replace o ring in cap in almost all cylinder s other than that no other part of packing Leaking. We got o rings from applied industrial technologies. We heated cap with torch and cranked off real quick
