Putting A 14A Motor in a 14?

Is there a problem with your 14 engine that your are wanting to swap or are your just after more power? I am in need of engine parts for my 1944 model 14 but I want to keep mine original.

I'm buying another 14A for the motor and some track parts. I have a mostly complete motor here. What parts do you need? This 14A parts machine has a cable blade wench set up also that I'll be selling. PK

I have a pretty nice ag tractor that never had a blade. I think it had recent head work because I can still see copper coat oozing down the side. However the old girl spun a rod bearing. The previous owner bought it that way and replaced the rod bearings hoping to make it work. It did not. It still had a pretty significant knock I guess. I haven't taken it apart yet but from the looks of the old rod bearing, the crank has got to be pretty ugly. I probably need a good crank and one rod.

The motor I have for parts was bought for the head. It got water into two cylinders down the stack and is stuck. I haven't opened it up but there was no water in the crankcase. Where are you located? I'm in western Montana. PK

east central Illinois. I don't know if my crank could be turned and still be salvaged or not. I have not seen it, just the junk bearing. I would like to find a good standard crank that doesn't need turned to keep the max journal size. I don't plan on farming with it, but I do intend on putting it to work and pulling the tar out of from time to time.
